How does that protect us from anything?

That's a lot of stuff, but it's not like I usually need to use them.
Well, the first Amendment protects a lot of freedoms, like freedom of speech, religion, peaceful assembly, and protest.
Well that's just the first amendment, there are way more, such as the fourth amendment.
What does the 4th Amendment do?
Well, it prevents unreasonable searches.
Which mean?
So teachers can't search my backpack without a reasonable cause? That does seem handy, but won't there be many rights that aren't listed in there?
It means that our property is protected from being searched without suspicion. This protects our privacy as well as our property.

No, as the 9th Amendment states that any rights not mentioned are given to the people.
