All of a sudden after removing the goggles. A red dot on the side of them began to flash, the flash grew closer and closer together as if it had a bomb implanted inside of it. He panicked and threw the goggles as far from him as possible. As soon as he threw it the goggles blew up and disappeared into the air.
There was no turning back now. Elliot was without his goggles and if anyone saw him without them on he would be killed. It was starting to get dark outside so Elliot used a jacket that he had in his backpack as a pillow and began to fall asleep.
He later woke up to the growling, painful, aches from his stomach. He hadn’t eaten anything since his mothers cookie. He was desperate for food and water and the sun beating down on the hot, dry, red sand did not help.
He remembered the note sitting next to his mother's goggles that said, “don’t trust anyone, they are always watching”. He knew that he was on his own, so he killed a nearby snake and drank whatever dark brown liquid was on the ground to get by. He was desperate for anything that would sustain him. After getting some sustenance in his system he felt well enough to explore the “real world” he had been living in this whole time.#160;
Elliot walked along the desert for hours finding no signs of life. He could see houses off in the distance and figured one of them was his but he didn’t recognize any of them without his glasses on.
After spending the entire day alone in the desert. Elliot decided to wait until dark before heading into town. He hoped that no one would see that his goggles were missing. When arriving into town he began looking for familiar signs. He heard a familiar bark coming from one of the homes. He thought it was his neighbors house because he had recalled the sound that their dog would always make at night. He covered his eyes with his hoodie and knocked on the door.
