- My name is Patricia Sullivan Allen, or PSA for short. I too was once a farmer and like many, I was unaware of the harm some of our methods do to theenvironment.

This setting was originally a great forest in Indonesia, and it was very biodiverse. And now look at it. The threat to biodiversity only grows as the agricultural sector continues to destroy the land for the growing of crops and cattle. According to researchers, the population size of recorded animal populations has decreased by an average of 68%. In the past 50 years, the critically endangered orangutan population in Borneo, Indonesia, has decreased by about 80%.
