Macduff enters, upset. He says he found the king dead and Macbeth pretends to besurprise
1. Oh, horror, horror,horror! This isbeyond my words andbeyond belief
3. The worst thing imaginable has happened.A murderer has broken into God'stemple and stolen the life out of it. The king is dead.
2. What'sthe matter?
1. Wake up, wake up! Ring the alarm bell. Murder and treason! Banquo and Donalbain, Malcom! wake up! Shake off sleep, which look like death, and look at death itself
A bell rings. Lady Macbeth enters
2. What is going on? Speak up and tell me!
1. What happened?
Banquo enters and ask what's going on, Macduff still regrets telling him what happened and lady Macbeth pretends to be lamenting what happened to the king
2. Oh Banquo, Banquo the king has been murdered!
3. How horrible! What, in your own house?

Malcom and Donalbain enter
1. What's wrong?
2. Your royal father is murdered
5. And yet I still regret anger drove me to kill them.
4. It seems that the guards who were supposed to be protecting his chamber did it. Their hands and faces were all covered with blood.
