  • Feudalism was a successful type of government in medieval times. It was used in Europe and Japan. Feudalism had a pyramid of roles based on your social class. On the top was the king or queen (the monarch), and then the priest because religion was very important. Next was the lords or ladies (nobles) and then the knights. Lastly there were peasants and serfs.

  • Anarchy is a form of government where the society is freely constituted without authorities. Anarchy means "an absence of government." Anarchism is a movement that is sceptical of authority. Anarcho-communists recognize money as fundamentally quantitative in nature, rather than qualitative. There are different types of anarchism like Mutualism, Social Anarchism, Green Anarchism and many others.

  • Theocracy is government by divine guidance. The officials were regarded as "divinely guided". The state's legal system was based on religion, and the government leaders were members of the clergy. Afghanistan is one of the most known forms of Theocracy. Theocracies are mostly found in the Muslim world, in Islamic states governed by Sharia. Theocracy operates efficiently.

  • Dictatorship is a form of government where one person has power over everything. It is a social situation in which one person makes all the rules and decisions. Some countries with dictatorship include China, Cuba, North Korea, Russia and Vietnam. The dictator controls all media and branches of government. Things like murder, intimidation, and imprisonment are used to control the population.
  • Absolute Monarchy was a government where the ruler had power due to their marriage or blood line. An absolute monarchy is a form of government in which a single person—usually a king or queen—holds absolute, autocratic power. In absolute monarchies, the succession of power is typically hereditary. The throne is passed down to members of the family. Absolute monarchy can bring more stability than feudalism.
  • Republic is a form of government in which the state is ruled by representatives of the citizen body. It is not based on bloodline or the social status you are born into. The U.S is an example of a federal republic. Some other republic countries are Mexico, India, France, Kenya, South Korea, and Peru. There are many other republic countries. A republic provided greater freedom and prosperity.
