The estates general took place in Versailles on may 5, 1989. King louis xvi was confronted by the commoners about the tax burden. The commoners were unsuccessful in reaching agreement. This was the beginning of the french revolution. this event also lead to a rage by the commoners.

All the commoners came together and done an oath. The oath was showed, the growing unrest against Louis XVI and laid the foundation for later events. This meant that they were all against the king.They wanted nothing to do with the king because they were taxing and making the commoners pay him more money every time. Which this made the commoners really poor and they weren't allowed to meet in the meeting halls that's why they met at a tennis court and because the meeting halls were all closed.

The july of 14, 1789 was the Storming of the Bastille which this was about them storming through the gates. they declared basically war on the revolution army and nothing was stopping them. Besides the bullets from the revolution army. They attacked everyone that was in that castle and every one that wasn't on their side they killed and had no mercy for them.
