"By some vile forfeit of untimely death. But he that hath the steerage of my course, Direct my sail. On, lusty gentlemen"
True Love Catches Romeo's eye
"Oh, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!.. Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear"
Trouble is Brewing
"This by his voice, should be a Montague,What, dares the slave come hither, covered with an antic face.. To strike him dead I hold it not a sin."
After being heartbroken by Rosaline, Romeo takes Benviolo's advice and agrees to go a party at the Capulets' house to help distract him from his misery. They use the masquerade ball as an excuse to disguise themselves and manage to sneak in.
A Close Call
"Content thee, gentle coz, let him alone... be patient, take no note of him...Show a fair presence and put off these frowns"
While Romeo is at the party he spots an enchanting girl on the arm of a lucky knight. He is immediately entranced by her, already envisioning her on his arm by the end of the dance.
The First Kiss
"  O, then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do. They pray;grant thou, lest faith turn to despair"
Tybalt grows aware of Romeo's appearance and becomes blind with fury. He believes Romeo is a scoundrel who's come out of spite to mock the Capulet party. He swears upon his honor to strike him dead at once.
An Unwelcome Truth
" Is she a Capulet? O dear account! My life is in my foe's debt."
Lord Capulet speaks to Tybalt of Romeo's admirable reputation and instructs him to do no harm to Romeo. Furious with rage Tybalt vows to get revenge sooner or later.
Romeo finally gains the courage to talk to the girl, Juliet, and takes her hand to speak to her. They have a lively conversation sneaking in kisses in between.
Romeo and Juliet's passionate kiss is cut short as Juliet is pulled away and Romeo learns that she is a Capulet. They are both distraught knowing that they're falling in love with each others' enemies.
