  • No taxation without representation!
  • We all are going to go into bankruptcy at this rate...
  • However, the succession of the four acts only angered the colonists further; it fueled their hatred for the injustice of taxation without representation. Eventually, the colonists protested these acts by not importing any British goods until these acts were repealed and boycotting any goods that violated their importation agreement.
  • They are constantly imposing all of these ridiculous taxes on us!
  •
  • How am I supposed to afford the paint to create artworks? That is my only source of income!
  • The colonists were frustrated and angry at the British Parliament for imposing such ludicrous taxes on them. The Boston Tea Party sent the message that the colonists did not want anything to do with the British any longer. From the riot, numerous crates of tea were thrown into the harbor that the water had essentially turned brown from the tea leaves.
