The Rise of Fascism starts with the ending of World War One. When the "Great War" ended Italy was in a bad place financially. There were barely any jobs, inflation and economically unstable. The Italian government failed the country and people wanted someone to fix the problem with Italy.
Benito Mussolini created Fascism to win over the people so he could rule over Italy. Since Italy's government wasn't doing anything to help the problem in the nation, Mussolini showed how he was a strong leader. A lot of people joined the Fascist movement because promised to stability and to restore order. After his march to the king with all is supporters, Benito Mussolini became the prime minister of Italy and changed the country from a Constitutional Monarchy to Fascism.

Mussolini reshaped Italy by launching a public works program where people would get jobs while making highways, bridges, and public buildings for the nation. He made Italy less dependant on foreign trade by promoting domestic industry and agriculture, as well as restricting imports.
