- On October 19th, 1781, the British army surrendered to George Washington at Yorktown, Virginia, in the final major battle of the American Revolution.
- Britain then recognized the independence of the United States of America and the New constitution was mad to give access to natural rights which is liberty and property, people would also be able to freely elect governments
