The story of Thomas Becket

- In 1154, Henry ll King of England. He had a best friend called Thomas Becket - they did everything together and trusted one another.
- Due to the kindness of the churches court, Henry made Thomas in charge of the cathedral. This was in 1162
- Becket enjoyed his new job as an archbishop and when he was told to change the church courts, he refused. This broke out a argument which made Thomas leave to France.
- Becket eventually came back to Britain and agreed to work together again. But it didn't last for long.
- When Henry found out that Thomas was expelling people and telling them to go to hell, he told his soldiers to do something.
- 29th September 1170, Thomas Becket had died due to four knights.
