On may 1804 Lewis and Clark embarked on their journey for science to map out the Louisiana Territory.
The Indians
Lewis and Clark soon found themselves all around new plants. Lewis and Clark used these new plants and herbs for medicines and other health benefits. One plant they discovered was the Indian Tobacco which was used in medicines.
The Journey
Lewis and Clark also discovered many new animals and new waterways too. The discovered the Grizzly Bears and the Northwest Passage

Lewis and Clark returned home September 23, 1806 with all of the Louisiana Territory mapped out and new plants, animals, and waterways discovered.
