Martha goes into school and explains to her principal that her grandfather doesn’t want to pay $15 for the scholarship jacket because it is not really a scholarship if she has to pay for the jacket. He told her that he would make an exception and talk to the board to get her scholarship jacket.
When Martha found out that she got her scholarship she was so excited to share the news with her grandfather. Martha went home and found her grandfather working in the field. She went down and pulled the weeds alongside him. Then, she tells her grandfather that her principal making an expectation for her and her grandfather patted her back while smiling.
