- In Saint Ignatius’s early life he was called Inigo. He was a cocky young man who did not know what to do with his life. He desired to be the center of attention and noticed by everyone. He liked to spend a lot of time gambling and trying to impress ladies so that he married a very pretty girl so that every guy was jealous of him
- At the age of 30, Saint Ignatius participated in the battle of Pamplona and he was a valiant soldier. He got struck by the cannonball in the leg and it was fully shattered. The French took him in and they tried to fix his leg but it wouldn’t work so they had to completely shatter the leg again to try to fix it.
- During saint Ignatious late life he was a pilgrim and he laid down his sword in front of the black madonna and gave up being a soldier fully and dedicated the rest of his life to Jesus so that he could be a better person and have his sins taken away and follow in the footsteps of our lord and cleanse himself.
