- Let's run away and meet at Ninus's tomb.
- I love you Thisbe. I wish we could meet.
- Pyramus and Thisbe loved each other a lot, but their fathers didn't want them to meet and marry so they talked through a crack in the wall. One day, the wanted to wed secretly so they ran away outside the city and to meet under a mulberry tree in the tomb of a great king, Ninus.
- Thisbe arrived first to the mulberry tree and saw a lioness whose hands were bloody from a recent kill. When Thisbe saw this, she got scared and ran into a cave in the tomb, but she dropped her veil on the ground.
- The lioness started playing with the veil and got blood on it since her hands were bloody.
- When Pyramus arrived, he was shocked to see a lioness. He thought that Thisbe was eaten by the lioness because her veil was bloody and the lion was next to it. He was so sad that he killed himself with a dagger he had.
- Thisbe, thinking the lioness was gone, came back to the tree to find that Pyramus was dead and had killed himself. She too killed herself with the dagger and said that she would join him in heaven. She also screamed that their ashes should be buried in this tomb.
- Soon, both their parents came to the tomb and were shocked to find them dead. They listened to their last wish and buried their ashes in Ninus's tomb.
