- When I was beginning to apply to graduate school, I was really looking forward to finding a path where I could study science as well as have a larger impact. I was lucky to meet Caitlyn Allen and Jo Handelsman, innovative thinkers and intelligent scientists who would work with me to pursue science and education.
- Hi there! I’m Sarah Miller and I’m working as the executive director of Tiny Earthat the University of Wisconsin-Madison!
- Working at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery and UW–Madison allows me to explore my curiosity and research meaningful topics.
- Before I got to Tiny Earth, I was trained as a botanist and plant pathologist through the ‘Wisconsin Fast Plants Program’.
- Together, we created a group dedicated to these causes named Issues in Life Sciences Education. We would meet to discuss teaching and learning in STEM.
- Now, as executive director of Tiny Earth, I am so happy to work on this amazing program that is a culmination of everything I love about science and education.
