- Zinser has been chosen as the new Pesident of Gaulladet
- "Deaf people are not able to function in a hearing world."
- Jane Spilman was reported to have said this, at the meeting with the Board
- WE WANT DEAF PRESIDENT NOW!!!!!
- Students of Gallaudet and other protestors created a human chain allowing no one to get in unless permitted
- Spilman MUST resign from the Board
- There MUST be no appraisals against any of the protestors
- The 4 Demands of the Deaf President Now movement
- Zinser MUST resign, elect a Deaf president
- The percentage of Deaf members on the Board of Trustees MUST be increased to at least 51%
- There were 4 main leaders (Bridgetta Bourne, Jerry Covell, Greg Hlibok, and Tim Rarus) labeled as the "famous four" that led protests, speeches, and boycotss during the DPN movement
- After speculation that Zinser and Spilman were going to try and force their way onto campus, protestors and student drove Gallaudet buses in front and deflated the tires, so no one could get in
- I. King Jordan who had preciously agreed wth Zinser, had retracted his support of her and agrees with the demands set by the student
- After 8 days The board finalized the demands and DR. I. King Jordan became Gallaudet's 1st Deaf President
