- I am the one who discovered and described hundreds of species, coined key terms, such as ecology and ontogeny/phylogeny, and was well known for his popularized version of the “recapitulation theory” during embryonic development of animals.
- Proposed a third kingdom to overcome the drawbacks of the two kingdom classification. The three kingdom system was done by the basis of morphological complexities and tissue system, the division of the labor, and made of nutrition.
- I classified Plantae, The Kingdom Plantae is also called as kingdom Metaphyta. It is also autotrophic mode of nutrition. The Kingdom Plantae includes all types of eukaryotic, multicellular, photosynthetic plants found in this biosphere.
- I also classified Animalia, Kingdom Animalia constitutes all animals. Amongst the five kingdoms, the largest kingdom is the animal kingdom. Animals are multicellular eukaryotes. However, like plants, they do not possess chlorophyll or a cell wall.
- I lastly classified Protista. Protists are simple eukaryotic organisms that are neither plants nor animals or fungi. Protists are unicellular in nature but can also be found as a colony of cells. Most protists live in water, damp terrestrial environments or even as parasites.
