- The kids were dealing with lots of stuff. Exspeasely the main character Charlie. He has lots of trauma and meantal health problems because of it. Charlie didnt have many friends in middle school. the only one he had killed them self which left Charlie heart broken. He met lots of friends in high school which are a lot older than him. In my option they weren’t good influences on him.
- They are trying to figure out who they are so they try and exspearenses lots of different things they all were dealing with trauma especially Charlie. Charlie would have lots of bottle up feelings.Charlie having friends really helped him. Because before when he was in middle school he didn’t have very many the only friend he had was one that suaside
- Theme
- The theme would have to be trauma and meantal health issues because he is telling us all through out the book and the movie how he is struggling. The main part on why he’s like that is because of what happened to him when he was a lot younger which would be chilled hood trauma.
- “That’s when my dad slapped me saying your hurting your aunt Helen’s feelings”
- This showes how the pepole around him miss treated him. You can be mad at someone but hitting them or touching them in away that’s not ok isn’t right.
