Before the deteriorating conditions of Jews, this was our life like. My parents were married in Germany in 1925. My sister Margot was born first and I'm three years younger than her. During this time, being a Jew was not important and my mother didn't have a traditional history, so our family was religion-free in our home.
Dear Kitty: In 1942, the Nazis began to control the Jewish from Germany society. The horror life for Jews was not easy, because the soldiers burned the Jewish books and destroyed anything and everything that concerned by Jews. Jews started to leave with fear and find any shelter possible to get away from this disaster.
Dear Kitty: on Sunday afternoon I came home from a walk and seen Margot crying on Mother. Margot got a call-up notice from the Nazi SS. Father will never allow it and we quickly packed our important belongings. At 5:30 the next morning, Mother gotten us up and we had to dress up with four extra pairs of clothes. Father left a note for our neighbour stating we took off to Switzerland.
