Athena found out what her mother went through her father’s hand. She felt rage run through her veins as she imagined what her mother must have gone through. Right then, Athena planned to overthrow Zeus.
The Execution
ACK!!
Athena is powerful enough to dethrone Zeus because she, like Medusa, has the ability to turn anyone into stone with her gaze. Athena met with Zeus to make amends. Zeus, on the other hand, was suspicious but still agreed without knowing what Athena's true intentions were.
Athena's Mercilessness
She concocted a potion she learned from Metis and intended to use it on Zeus' food. It is a poison with a significant effect that will paralyze your body in 10 minutes. Athena was well aware that her chances of victory in combat were slim.
Athena's Tears
She had conversations with Zeus in order to entice him and lower his guard. Zeus began to struggle to move after a few minutes of eating. He was as stiff as a rock, staring at her with shock in his eyes. Athena took advantage of the situation and turned her hatred toward Zeus. She used the power of her gaze to transform Zeus into stone.
It didn't stop there because she couldn't just pass on this once in a lifetime opportunity. Clouded by hatred and revenge, she unleashed a powerful attack that broke Zeus into pieces and turned him into ashes.
Though still enraged, Athena was relieved that her plan went off without a hitch and that she was able to give Zeus what he deserved. Athena burst into tears, burdened by the weight of what she had done. She wished her mother had been there with her at the time.
