  • For my media text, I'm going to give instructions on how to make bannock.
  • Everyone has different recipes for bannock, this recipe I got from a friend.
  • So you're gonna need four cups of flour, two table spoons of baking powder, one tablespoon of sugar, one tablespoon of salt, one or two cups of warm water, and a 1/4 cup of oil.
  • After you got all that you're going to mix them together all in one bowl. After mixing them, start kneading.
  • Don't over knead the dough otherwise it will toughen up and break easily.
  • Once you're done, you can either break the dough up into small pieces or just cook it whole. Your choice.
  • There are different ways to cook bannock, I'm gonna talk about pan frying and baking
  • If you're pan frying it, add oil to the pan first before putting the dough on so the bannock doesn't stick and get ruined.
  • If you plan on baking it, preheat the oven to 375 then once you're ready, bake it for 25-30 minutes, flipping it halfway through.
  • After putting the dough on the pan, keep checking the bottom and flip it over once it turns into a golden brown color then do the same for the other side.
  • And that's one way to make bannock!
