- Macbeth sees a dagger ahead in the air and grabs it, he realizes that he was hallucinating.
- He pulls out his own dagger. He next sees drops of blood on it. He tells himself that he is hallucinating all this due to his murderous intents.
- He successfully murders the King.
- She recounts putting the servant's daggers where macbeth could find them and she would've killed the King herself. But while the King was asleep, she got reminded of her father and this discouraged her.
- Lady Macbeth drugs the servant's drinks and they eventually fell asleep. They were sleeping instead of protecting the King.
- Macbeth enters his chamber
- I murdered the King but I feel guilty seeing my hands covered with his blood
- I am disappointed that I cannot pray innocently to God anymore. I heard voices saying,"Macbeth has murdered the sleep and therefore Macbeth will not sleep anymore.
- Do not give much thought about it or else you will drive yourself mad
- Do not stress yourself and think in a cowardly way. Wash your hands .
- However, Macbeth wishes that he were unconscious so that he wouldn't have to think about the horrific deed.
- I am afraid to go back to the place where I committed a murder.
- You coward! Only children get afraid of such things. Well, it was essential to to paint the servant's faces with blood to make them feel guilty
- I am not even scared a bit. OH! I heard someone knock at the south entry. Better wash your hands because it will wash away your guilt, Change into your bed clothes and regain your senses.
