- On March 13, 1938, Hitler annexed Austria because he saw it coming that the complex and overdue of the German unification would unite and bring it into one state.
- Germany invades Poland
- In March 1939, Hitler broke the Munich Pact. Seven months ago, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, and France signed the Munich agreement that Czechoslovakia surrender its border and defenses to Nazi Germany. As Hitler wanted nonaggression pact with the Soviet Union, he needed to invade Poland.
- Great Britain France declare war
- In August 1939, Germany and the Soviet Union signed an agreement that both nations promised not to attack each other. The Naxi wanted to create the nonaggression pact w/ the Soviet Union to keep their secret involved in an agreement that later then will influence the geographical interest of Poland and the Baltic states.
- On September 1, 1939, Germany invades Poland first because Hitler thought that Poland was planning to make allies with Great Britain and France to dismember Germany. Germany wanted to take over Poland to regain lost territory and rule to the east.
- On September 3, 1939, Great Britain and France declared war on Germany because they saw Hitler's invasion of Poland two days ago.
