  • Once when Hermes was a baby he snuck out of his home and stole a bunch of cattle.
  • The cattle that was stolen was none other than Apollos. He became very distraut at the sight of his missing cattle.
  • Apollo returned back home to find his brother, Hermes, playing with cowguts. He was enraged and called Hermes out.
  • Hermes told Apollo that he was infact using the dead cattle as offerings to the gods, one of them being himself. He then offered to trade Apollo an enchanting lyre in exchange for his herdsmen staff.
