  • Hey everybody! My name is Tasha and welcome back to That Kid Science!, where little kids teach YOU basic science! Today we're going to learn about Elements, Compounds, and Mixtures.
  • Well, what even are those things?  Let's bring my friends to help explain.
  • There are three categories for elements: metals, metalloids, and nonmetals!
  • Hello everyone!  My name is Sarah and today we're talking about elements! Elements are substances composed of one type of atom!
  • Examples of elements are copper, zinc, oxygen, nitrogen, neon, sodium, silver, gold, and magnesium!
  • Hello! My name is Basma, and I'm talking about compounds! A compound is made when the atoms of two or more elements are chemically bonded together in fixed proportions.
  • Some examples of compounds are sugar, salt, water, carbon dioxide, and sodium bicarbonate!
  • Mixtures can be classified into two groups: homogeneous and heterogeneous. Homogeneous means it looks the same throughout. Heterogeneous means the parts are NOT the same throughout and can be identified as separate substances.
  • Hey y'all! It's Brandon here, and I'm gonna teach you about one more thing: mixtures. Mixtures are substances that can be separated by physical means into two or more substances.
  • This is the end of That Kid Science! and thank you for reading! Come back to learn more basic science! Bye!
