Polynomial long division is a method used to divide a polynomial by another polynomial., of the same or lower degree. It is essentially the same as long division, but you are dealing with "x". Just like regular division , polynomial division can have a remainder or no remainder. If it has no remainder, it means it is a factor. It also is a great tool to solve other math problems.. For example, we can use it when finding the slant asymptote of a function.

TThe main steps are:1. Divide the first term of the numerator by the first term of the denominator, and put that in the answer2.
