HI. My name is Josh and I love Basketball. I love English class and I am the only kid in my basketball team who can dunk. My hair is full of dread locks, and I love them so much I'd kneel down beneath it and and enshrine it.
Josh is in 7th grade at Reggie Lewis middle school. He has a twin who's name is JB and loves to play basketball. He learned to play from Chuck "The MAN" Bell, A.K.A his dad who used to be a famous basketball player. His mom is also assistant principal at his school.
Rising Action
Josh is starting to get mad at JB because he is spending more time with Miss Sweet Tea (A nickname he gave her}. He is getting so lonely and angry at JB. Once JB asked him to pass a note to Sweet Tea but then Josh got in trouble because the teacher saw him, but JB was safe. So then his anger grew even more.
Ugh. I think he does not love me anymore. Sweet Tea took him away from me. I am also kind of worried about dad. I think he is getting sick.
Climax
Josh gets so mad, and once he reaches his tipping point he lets all is anger out in this one throw during a basketball games. They do not talk to each other for a long time until Josh starts doing nice things for JB and they start becoming friends again. Josh realizes JB still loves him, but they are growing up and they are not the same person anymore.

Theme
Chuck Bell died when he was playing Basketball for fun with Josh. Josh and JB made up to each other and now are friends. Josh is even now ok with Alexis A.K.A Sweet tea. Josh and JB's team also won the basketball championship.
After their dad's funeral, they had a party at their house. Josh is feeling cramped so he goes outside to shoot some hoops. He remembers how his dad can make 50 free throws in a ROW. While he makes free throws, he feels like he is close to his dad. So when JB comes he almost mistakes him for his dad. They realize they have to move on, because nothing they do will change what happened.
In The Crossover the major theme is you should adapt to change and not hold on to the past.
