Reporters collect and present most of of the information public received. Media decide what to cover and what issues or aspects of a story to highlight. By making these decisions, media have power over what we know and do not know.

The role of media in reporting human rights violations is so important because it increases public awareness and provokes actions to ensure better protection of human rights, including transparency and accountability.
- I agree, if child marriage getting a media coverage, it can make people realise that child marriage also disrupts the child's education and drive vulnerability to violence, discrimination and abuse.
