The Stamp act was passed in March. Required colonists to purchase special stamped paper for every legal document, license, newspaper, pamphlet, etc. Bostonians organized a secret resistance group called the Sons of Liberty; founded by Samuel Adams. Boycotted British goods until the stamp act was repealed in March 1766.

Halved the tax on foreign-made molasses. Placed taxes on certain imports. Strengthened the enforcement of smuggling cases. The Sugar Act reduced all amounts of taxes. The colonists had to pay even more than half, by increasing the enforcement of the law- government.

Indirect taxes on imported materials such as glass, lead, paint, paper, and Tea. The Townshend Act was a series of laws passed by the British government on the American colonies in 1767. The Townshend Act contains lots of different acts.the Suspending Act, the Revenue Act, the Indemnity Act, and the Commissioners of Customs Act.
Intolerable Acts May 20, 1774
December 18th, 1773 – Response to the Tea Act. Boston rebels dressed as Native Americans dumped 18,000 lbs. of tea into Boston Harbor. The colonists weren't happy about higher taxes on tea. The tea was Chinese, not Indian and everyone was just throwing everything.
This fight between British soldiers and colonists. Five were killed and used as propaganda against the British. The British forced the colonists to pay taxes and represent by the stamp. Using paper, documents, and playing cards.

Boston Harbor was closed because they washed all the tea. The Quartering Act allowed soldiers to be housed in vacanthomes. Boston was put under martial law ruled by military forces. The Intolerable was a series of punishable laws passed by the Parliament in 1774 right before the Boston Tea Party.
