  • Hi my name Beu I live in the Indus River Valley in India. Time period: 3300-1300 B.C . I will show you what it is like living in the Indus Valley.
  • Hi this is my house. We Build are houses with bricks and when we build new houses we stack them on top of the old houses. Most people spend a lot of time on the top of their houses because it is cooler up there. Houses are important here because they give us shelter.
  • The indus showers were made of slabs of brick. To take a shower they poured a bucket of clean water on them. The dirty water from their shower went in the street drains. The showers were important because they needed to be clean.
  • The indus people bathe for a religion because people believed the great bath found in Mohenjo-Daro suggests the Indus people held similar beliefs about purity. The great bathe was important because there were no temples so they practiced religion here.
  • We use seals to act like tags. We printed what we wanted it to say into clay and waited for it to dry then tie it on a basket or pot. Seals are important because it could say who this trade is from so you know who it is. Seals can also be important to label what it is and what you do with it.
  • Trade was really important. traders carried goods on their backs or drove wooden carts pulled by oxen to get around to trade. Others loaded their goods on ships and sailed to trade with other lands. Trade was really important because some people can have stuff that you don't have and you need that stuff and goods.
