  • MULTIPLICITIVE PRINCIPLE: Q) you are deciding what to wear to go to a party. You have 3 shirts, 5 shorts, 6 pants, 4 socks and 2 pair of shoes, how many outfits can you make with these clothing items.
  • Hmmm??? oh I finally got it. what you need to do is multiply all the items you have together to see how many outfits you can make. in this case do (3)(5)(6)(4)(2)=720you can make 720 outfits
