- In this panel, we can see that populations have different genotypes therefore genetic variations. Some zebras are big and some are small.
- In this panel, we can see that low plants die so only tall trees remain. This is a natural selection event that is favorable to Zebras with the phenotype of being big but affects badly small zebras.
- What happened in the last panel caused that low zebras die. This expresses the point that some variations are favorable, more offspring are produced than survive, populations have variations, and those that survive have favorable traits. Also, we see that habitats change through time.
- Here we can see that a predator, the lion, comes to catch his prey, the zebras.
- In this panel, we see that even if an organism has favorable traits in terms of size and getting food, it can still be killed by the predator.
- In this final panel, we see that all Zebras are now big because the small ones died and the big ones were the only ones to be able to reproduce and continue existing. This means that the mutation happened in the sex cells therefore in the cell division Meiosis so it could be passed down to the descendants.
