- The three estates of French Society met to try and solve the issues troubling the nation. Conflict arose when the three estates could not decide how to vote.
- THE REIGN OF TERROR
- The members of the third estates vowed to not seperate or reassemble whatever circumstances require, until the constitution of the nation is established.
- I'm taking over now!
- On July 14, 1789, a state prison, Bastille, was attacked by an angry and aggressive mob. They came to demand the huge ammunition stores held within the prision walls.
- NAPOLEON'S EMPIRE
- This was a period during the French Revolution after the First French Republic was established in which multiple massacres and public executions occured.
- Ordinary folks, through their actions, created a constitutional system of democratic government.The monarchy vanished, and the French First Republic emerged. The Directory took over, but it wasn’t perfect. Then, a guy named Napoleon seized power. The Revolution’s wild ride was almost over.
- Napolean began to expand his empire by taken over other countries that surrounded France.
