Working with this NGO for soo long has familiarized me with many things, especially since this trip to Telangana was like going back in time. Visiting the lush green farms and learning about their methods for soil conservation and production by natural procedures was new because these methods were abandoned after the Green Revolution.
C'mon disclose something more !!
Here farmers revealed that they adopt counter ploughing, grass bund, soil bund, drainage ditch, silt application, and plantation to prevent soil erosion.
Here they pefer using natural seeds, agroforestry, intercropping, crop rotation, cover cropping, traditional organic composting, integrated crop-animal farming, shifting cultivation, and slash-and-burn farming, as they are the natural ways.
They believe that using chemicals destroys the soil, and will make a big impact on the future. The food we eat sometimes might also not be safe because of the use of such chemicals. They believe in keeping People before Profits.
So You See, they in such a short time taught me to put my moral before everything, and of course about the traditional methods..
What we plant in the soil in Contemplation, we shall reap in Harvest of action.
