  • Computer starts as early as 3000bc with a chinese abacus, The first device used for calculating basic Arithmetic Operations. and it was invented in babylonia.
  • The generation of computer passed on 1642. The french mathematician philosopher Blaise Pascal invented the first mechanical calculator or adding machine, called Arithmetic machine or PASCALINE. that can handle numbers up to 999,999,999 and used only for addition and subtraction.
  • In 1670's a German mathematician Gottfried Wilhelm leibniz invented Leibniz Wheel or Stepped Drum. It had a cylinder with a set of tooth of incremental lenghts, and can be used to calculate engine of a class of mechanical calculators.
  • Our calculator/(Leibniz Wheel) has a automatic Multiplication and Division.
  • In 1822, The English Mathematician and Inventor Charles Babbage AKA Father of Computers invented the first computer design. called Differential Engine, that can solve different equations and store program to perform calculations and print results automatically, and also powered by steam.
  • In 1833 Charles Babbage also invented the basis of modern computer, Called Analytical Engine (and worked on it until his death in 1871.) that had 5 units- Input, Output, Store, Mill, and Control. and it can perform - Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division.
  • Mark I is considered to be the real beginning of the era of the modern computer.
  • In 1944 the American Physicist and a Pioneer in computer Howard Aiken, Invented the largest Electromechanical Computer called Mark I or IBM (ASCC) and was initiated on March 29, 1944 by John Von Neumann used in the war effort during the last part of World War II. It was the first operating machine that could execute computations, and it can also computed and printed mathematical tables.
