The Parable of The Tenants Mark 12:1-9Matthew 21:33-41Luke 20:9-16
I have planted this vineyard, I am leasing it to you while I go on my long journey.
A man planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, and built a tower. He leased it to tenants and went on a journey.
He has sent his son.
At harvest time, the man sent a servant to obtain his produce. The tenants seized him and beat him. Then sent him empty handed.
He is the heir.
Let us kill him and acquire his inheritance.
The man sent another servant. The tenants again seized him, but this time they killed him.
We're going to be rich!
The man sent a third servant. Once again, the tenants seized him and this time stoned him.
Thinking that the tenants would respect his son, the man sent his son to obtain his produce. But he was wrong.
The tenants seized him and killed him like they did with the other three servants before him.
