- Odysseus tries get out of the war by pretending to be crazy. Achilles also doesn't want to go and dresses up as a woman--but both get caught and forced into war. Achilles was thought to be the best warrior in Greece and Odysseus the best strategist.

- The battle rages for years. At one point, Agamemnon steals Briseis from Achilles so he stops fighting. The Acheans begin to loose the war so Achilles cousin (and lover) Patroclus steps in and pretends to be Achilles.

- Everyone thought that Achilles had returned to battle until Hector killed Patroclus, revealing who he really was under the armor. This enraged Achilles who returned to battle seeking revenge on Hector (Paris' brother and King Priam's son).

- Odysseus plans a way to get into the guarded city. Build a Wooden Horse and give it to them as a gift of defeat, push ships out to sea so it looks like they've left. Men inside the horse will come out in the night and slaughter the Trojans in the nighttime.
