- “We will just be a tick Honey, we are just popping into the roadhouse to check if we can get help.”
- "Ugh where are they!"
- "Where are my parents!!"
- Ella’s parents head into the gas station to try and find help. They leave Ella outside the roadhouse to wait.
- "Are they my parents!!"
- Ella sits outside the roadhouse waiting for her parents. She feels as though several minutes has passed.
- Ella walks into theroadhouse and asks a young boy who is later revealed to be named Will if he hasseen her parents. The boy does not respond but has an anxious expression on hisface.
- "Look Ella, you need to get a job!"
- Ella sees a cage full containing two cane toads in it, Ella quickly realises they are her parents.
- Ella begins to cry as Will comforts her. She realises that this roadhouse is not any type of roadhouse, she looks up and sees a sign that states Bunyip Lake Roadhouse. Ella realises this roadhouse is haunted by the Bunyip spirit.
- Will tells Ella how her only way to save her parents is for Ella to get a job at the roadhouse.
