- There was a very nice, social, and respectful student. She always did her work on time, never had any behavior problems in school or the classroom.
- But one day she seemed very upset, agitated, and you could tell that her head was elsewhere. And one of her peers was annoying her.

- And so she lashed out at him and yelled a curse word in the classroom.
- The school policy is to send her out of the classroom and/or call an administrator for consequences, but instead ...
- Go out in the hallway to calm yourself and go drink some water
- Hey, stay after class for me. I need to have a word with you.
- When the student came back she sat quietly for the remainder of class. The teacher then asked her to stay after class, and the student did.
- Whats wrong? You don't usually act like this.
- It's okay! Since you don't usually act like this there won't be anyconsequences but the next time you feel this way just go out for a drink of water and calm yourself.I'll give you extra time to finish the assignment.
- I am not having a good day. I'm going through some drama right now (typical high school drama)
