- There once was a girl named Melody. She was the daughter of an important man named Azar. He was the leader of a village called "Underhills."
- Melody was a kind soul who always loved to wander the village ever since she was little. But, one day her Mom was killed when she went out to into the forest. Her father never let's Melody out of his sight now.
- Even though she hates staying up in her room, she has friends from when she was a child that keep her company. Her pet dragon, Astrid, and her human friend, CiCi are always there for her.
- Melody hates staying up in her room because of all the wonderful things she could be doing. She knows that going outside can be dangerous, but you can't avoid it.
- One night while she was sleeping a dream came to her. The dream was of her mom coming to tell her that she needed a favor from her to let her rest in peace. Her mom told her in the dream to go through the forest and to the mountains to bring a special stone to her grave.
- She crept out of her house and went on her way through the forest. The woods at night were scary and dark. Melody was determined to get through this adventure for her mother. She knew of the mountains her mother was talking about and the stones, but she thought the stones were a myth.
- As Melody was on her way to the mountains, she came across a dangerously high bridge over the swamp. She hated heights and all the creatures under the bridge. There were alligators, snakes, snapping turtles, everything you could think of. She was beyond scared.
