- Crust
- Hey, today we are going through the Earth. Right now we are on the earths crust
- Yes, this layer of the earth is very thin and brittle. It's the very top of the earth; its where we live
- Asthenosphere
- Now we are in the Asthenosphere, Here it is partly melted rock, and it is plastic layer
- Plastic means the solid can flow; malleability
- Mantle
- This layer is going to take forever to get through
- This part of earth is responsible for plate movement and is made of magma
- Now we are in the mantle, This makes up most of the earth (80%); its the thickest layer
- Outer core
- We are now in the outer core; This part is made of liquid Nickel and iron.
- The outer core spins when the earth rotates creating the earths magnetic field
- Im getting dizzy
- Inner Core
- It so hot!!
- Now we are on the inner core; it is made of solid iron and nickel
- This is the most dense; hottest part of the earth
- Whew, that was a workout climbing all the way back to the top. I think I'm going to go home and get some rest
