- This is the Fonte Aretusa. It is a fountain and fresh water spring. It has many legends and myths linked to it, and has thus been the inspiration to many famous authors and poets over the centuries.
- Ortigia is also a food-lover's fantasy destination. It is filled with delicious food, and amazing restaurants. The local food markets have the best selection of cheeses, fine wines, and fresh fruits and vegetables.
- This sandwich shop is one of the most popular restaurants in Ortigia. It serves yummy cheese and meat rolls, and awesome fresh salads for the vegetarians! It is recommended by all the locals here.
