- 6 - 10:15 - Von Stauffenberg drives to airport and boards his plane. The bomb is in a briefcase wrapped in a shirt. They were activated by breaking a glass of acid, which would then take 10 minutes to explode
- 10:15 - 12:36 - Von Stauffenberg drives to drives to Hitlers headquartersand passes through three SS checkpoints. They eat breakfast and meet General Fellgiebel. They walk to the conference room. Von Stauffenberg leaves behind his belt and cap, and so goes back to get them and breaks the timer
- 12:36 - 12:38 : Von Stauffenberg tells the soldier operating the telephone switchboard he has a call during the meeting, giving him an excuse to leave when the bomb goes off. He enters the room, which has 34 people in it.
- 12:38 - 12:42 - Von Stauffenberg places the briefcase underneath the table and makes his excuse to leave. He walks away. One of the officers trips on the briefcase and moves it away from position.
- 12:42 - 1:10 : The bomb explodes, killing 4 people and leaving Hitler with an injury to his leg and arm. Von Stauffenberg escapes in a car, and then on a plane to Berlin. He believes Hitler is dead
- Von Staufferberg’s plotters in Berlin failed to seize the city. Von Staufferberg and Beck attempted to take control, but failed to by 9 pm. Nearly 5000 people were killed because of this plot
