  • Isn't she just the cutest. She's already showing the basics of the sensorimotor stage

  • Todays story starts with two parents that are both psychologists. Dr. Mellissa Grey and Dr. Mitchell Grey have just welcomed a wonderful baby girl Maggie Grey! Lets follow along and watch as they identify each of Piagets stages in their growing child!
  • I can think more logically now but I am having trouble with abstract thoughts.
  • well honey, that's because you're still in the concrete operational stage, it'll make sense when you are older.
  • A year and a half later... Dr. Mitchell Grey knows that she is demonstrating the actions of sensorimotor stage because she is manipulating objects and using her sensory abilities.
  • congratulations honey! you have not only graduated high school but you graduated into the formal operational stage

  • you have fully completed all of Piagets 4 stages of cognitive development!
  • Maggie is now five years old and is showing the signs of the preoperational stage by how she is much better with language but still very egocentric. she is having a hard time understanding her friends perspective while they are playing.
  • i cant wait for my first day of university classes to be a psychologist just like my mom and dad!!
  • Maggie is now nine years old and is not egocentric anymore. She is able to understand others thoughts and have more logical thinking. She is however having trouble with the more complex thinking such as abstract and hypothetical thoughts.
  • Maggie has completed all the stages of cognitive development, she is now a fully functioning adult that can complete very complex thinking. she can now think about moral, philosophical, ethical, social, and political issues.
  • Maggie is now going to become a psychologist just like her parents and learn all the same things they did! Especially Piagets four stages of cognitive development.
