- The characters first introduced are Edward, a lonely human-like man with scissor hands; Peg, a busy woman that works with Avon, and Kim, Peg's teenage daughter.
- Throughout his ventures in the community, everyone else thought Edward was super weird but they liked him. Until he meets Jim, Kim's boyfriend, whom dislikes Edward and continually makes fun of him and aids everyone else in tormenting him. This results in him getting framed for a crime he did not commit and thus ends up being hated by everyone except Kim and her mother, Peg.
- Jim comes by, scares Edward and accidentally makes him harm Kim. He gets mad and accuses him of trying to kill her. Kim decides to break up with her boyfriend Jim due to his exaggerated jealousy and this causes him to attempt murdering Edward. However, he strikes back and stabs him to death.
- Kim confesses her love to Edward and kisses him before departing outside, leaving him behind inside his home.
- After the police and entire neighborhood gathered around Edward's home. Kim lies and said both Jim and Edward died.. They believe her and leave.. Many years later, remembering her youth, Kim retells the story to her grandchildren, revealing that she did not see Edward again and prefers not to so that he would only remember her young. She also explains how their town's snowfall is caused by Edward always making ice sculptures. She believes that Edward is still alive. The End.
