- French and Indian War1754-1763
- The French and Indian war starts in the Ohio River Valley. It is fought between France and England, with their Native American allies. England eventually wins at Quebec in 1763. A treaty is signed in Paris, signaling the end of the war. Although they won, it cost England millions of dollars, causing them to tax the colonies and the eventual American Revolution.

- We are going to tax glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea
- The Townshend Acts was when England taxed items like glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea. This caused the colonists to Boycott British goods

- The Boston Massacre March 5, 1770
- The Boston Massacre occurred on May 5, 1770 in Boston. A group of colonists were harassing British troops. Although their commanding officer told them not to fire, one soldier misheard him, and fired into the crowd. This lead to the other British troops to fire into the crowd of colonists. Five people were killed in the "massacre".
