  • I wonder what kind of sights there are to see and all of the different kind of people there are.
  • Scene 1:
  • Scene 2:
  • Growing up in Mexico, Julia has always wondered what life would be like in America. She has always been a bright child and would had been dreamng about living in America ever since she was 7 years old. Julia had only gotten a taste of what life in America was like through stories and pictures that she had seen on the internet and had started learning how to speak English since she was 10 so that when the time comes, she will be able to talk to people in English in America.
  • Scene 3:
  • Welcome to our resturaunt.
  • One afternoon, Julia's mother bursted into her room with an excted attitude and gave her the good news that she will be moving the New York after her mother found a job.
  • Scene 4:
  • 2 weeks have passed and the day has come for Julia and her mother to see their new house in American. When Julia opened the door, she saw an empty hallway leading to the living room where julia made herself very comfortable.
  • Scene 5:
  • After they were done packing, Julia and ehr mother decided to go out for dinner to celebrate. While looking around, they spotted a resturant to eat but as soon as they sat down they had noticed that many people were staring at them since they looked different than the others.
  • This looks like a good place to eat.
  • Julia started to become very uncomfortable when one man in particular was starting to give them a dirty look and walk towards them.
  • Please sir, try to calm down. We just wanted to find a place to eat.
  • What are you people doing here! Are even from here?
  • While this argument continued, a bystander saw what was happening but did not help which made Julia feel unimportant and that she did not belong since she was different.
