- This part of the story shows that the more powerful people have more control. And Amal cant do anything about it.

- this shows that when Amal did something to change what had kept her bound she made a difference for so meany people. her having to not back down shows her perseverance.
- "This is a mistake!"(Saeed 214).
- "We imagine so. We brought him in a few hours ago for questioning,"(Saeed 214).
- "My father will speak to you. He won't forget your Names,"(Saeed 214).
- this shows that Amal had to do something or nothing would change, so she had to tell Asif because she knew he had the power to stop Jawad.
- "You live in that house , Amal. if he finds out, it could be bad for you,"(Saeed 210).
- Don't apologize. I'm glad you told me,"(Saeed 209).
- "I'm sorry. I shouldn't burden you with this," (Saeed 209).
- "I need your help,"(Saeed 209).
