  • In a restaurant in Paris, France, a cook named Linguini runs away as he accidentally ruined a dish. He encounters Remy, a rat who longs to be a chef. They make a deal wherein Remy helps him with cooking while Linguini helps him hide.

  • By pulling Linguini's hair, Remy was able to control Linguini when he cooks. The customers enjoyed the dishes they cooked together. Chefs find it suspicious since Linguini is known to be a terrible cook.

  • Remy's father rejects the fact that he gets affiliated with humans when he cooks since people dislike and kill rats.

  • You have impressed me with the Ratatouille dish, thus I will be giving you this new restaurant.
  • Anton, a food critic, will dine in the restaurant to critique their dishes. Linguini hurts Remy's feelings as he rejects Remy's help. He kicks Remy out of the restaurant, and Linguini has lost his chance to impress Anton since he does not know how to cook.
  • Later on, Remy forgave Linguini, and all Remy's fellow rats, including Linguini and Collete, worked together to recreate a special dish called 'Ratatouille' for Anton. Anton absolutely loved the dish and demands to meet the cook.
  • The health inspector demands to shut down 'Gusteau's' due to rat infestation. It led to the loss of jobs of chefs. Anton Ego opens a new restaurant to help Linguini, Colette, and Remy. They all continued to pursue their passion and interest in cooking.
